Earlier the students appearing for the board exams used to wait for their results, afterwards the merit list used to be released by the different colleges of Delhi University. & the admission process got conducted.
The announcement of CUET gave the FYUP, the biggest turn
Till last year, CUET was known as Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) which has been renamed by the University Grants Commission (UGC) as the Central University Entrance Test. CUET UG2022 is an all-India test being organized for admission to various Integrated/Under-Graduate Programmes in any of the 45 UGC-funded Central Universities in India. Initiated in 2021, this entrance exam is a single-window opportunity for getting admission to these courses. The exam pattern has been released by NTA (National Testing Agency). Now, Delhi University (DU) will be admitting students on the basis of their Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores rather than Class 12 exam results. CUET UG-2022 While students have a myriad of options to choose from, there are some subject-specific requirements that they have to be mindful of.
CUET: Online or Offline?
The CUET entrance exam will be held online as a Computer Based Test (CBT) with a duration of 2 hours with Multiple Choice Questions. The questions will be based on the NCERT Curriculum i.e. the syllabus of Grades 11 & 12. It will be conducted in the month of July.

The exam will be divided into three parts which will carry objective-type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The medium of the question paper will be English and the languages chosen by candidates. Each question will carry one mark and for each wrong answer, there will be a negative marking as well. Candidates will be awarded one mark for each correct answer. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 mark for each incorrect answer.
Candidates must note that the entrance test will have Section 1A, Section 1B, General Test and Domain-Specific subjects. Section 1A, which will be compulsory, will be in 13 languages and candidates will be given the option to choose the language of their choice. The options are English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. Section 1B is optional and for students who want to opt for another language apart from the ones that are a part of Section 1A. Some of the languages on offer are French, Arabic, German, etc.
